My car was broken into last night, and my first thought was that the thief had to touch my dirty kleenexes to look through my side compartments. I feel fine, because I am the winner here.

Some things that I was afraid of when I was a little girl:
- my closet at nighttime
- the film, Earnest Scared Stupid
- the lady who lips syncs Tom Petty’s part in the video for “Roll Another Joint”
- the fact that at anytime, anywhere…a strange, older man could have asked me: “do you want any candy?”
- (and that I might have accidentally said “yes”)
- images of Lucifer (AKA “The Devil”)
- teenagers who smoked cigarettes
there’s one more fish, never ever ever go to school, never get to fall in love, never get to be cool.

Looking at this picture of Robert Downey Jr. that was taken yesterday at the “Iron Man 2” premiere makes me think, “how is Robert Downey Jr. any different from your typical Metallica Fan?”
Think about it:
1. He thinks he’s cooler than he actually is
2. He’s a recovering drug addict (okay, not all Metallica Fans are former drug addicts….but it helps)
3. And those glasses that he’s wearing….those fucking glasses….those glasses that prompted this blog post….
And who is that woman that he’s with…didn’t she used to be an actress or something?
